its a very rare blood posioning.
it slows ur blood flow and makes ur heart work faster and shuts all ur organs down.
january 25th, i woke up feeling not so well. thought it was just heat stroke coz we had been in the sun the day before. took some panadol which didnt help. i knew it was more so i made brett ring me an ambalance as by this stage i couldnt sit up as i was feeling dizzy. ambalance thought it was just food posioning but took me to hospital anyways as i was 16 weeks pregnant. when i got to hospital they took blood and brett brought the kids in. we sat there for about an hr when th drs asked brett to take the kids to a friends house as i was very sick. i had all my clothes removed and they stuck stickers all over me to montior me. i had a drip in my left arm, one in my right shoulder and one in my ankle... it was horrible. i couldnt breathe properly, my heart rate was 149bp. i kept asking if i was dieing and they kept saying no. they kept asking if i had taken any drugs but when brett arrived back from taking the kids to jennys he told them i wasnt into taking drugs. they really didnt know what was wrong with me so they gave me about 5 dieferent anitbotics to cover everything that could be possible. after a while i started to get contractions and i was moved to intensive care where i delievered our little baby boy. of course he wasnt breathing. he was soo small. we named him Liam. the drs and nurses were so caring and kind in intenive care. i had my own room! monday was a blur i dont remember alot. my mum came to help with the kids. brett and her took turns keeping me company at the hospital and staying at home with kids. tuesday i got up for a shower and boy that was an event. took me half the day to actaully sit up. wednesday they told me a had strep A and toxic shock, but i was getting the anibotics i needed and was getting better. i was moved to a ward on wednesday afternoon where the nurses were horrible. the food as crap. not a nice hospital at all but greatful that i was taken to that hospital coz there was 3 infection specialists at that hospital that day. i later found out that the didnt know if i was gonna make it or not. i had the shoulder drip in for a week and 7 days later i was alowed to go home! boy im so happy its over.
